Gunmakers take the prizes at the Inter Livery Clay Shoot

The Gunmakers fielded 8 teams this year, including the first all-women livery team, at the Inter-Livery Clay Shoot, 16 May. Set at Holland & Holland’s superb shooting ground in the west of London, with a fine breakfast to start the day, and a light breeze, conditions were good. Our teams collected a modest 5 prizes: the Top individual Side by Side prize, won by Mark O’Dowd, the Top Side by Side team – who also won the overall team prize, the Top Lady, won by the Countess of Lucan, the Top Court Team, and the Livery Charity prize.

Due to the popularity of the event, which was supported by 105 teams this year, next year’s competition, the 25th anniversary of the gathering, will take place over two days, 15-16 May 2019. Mark your diaries now.
