Gunmakers to Bisley, 24 April 2019

Twenty one Gunmakers and guests turned out for this key annual event, organised by Liveryman Derek Stimpson and Upper Warden Roddy Richmond-Watson. As with all the best events, the day started with bacon rolls, before shooting then got underway. A little rain and some breeze was included and added to a fine day which was kindly and efficiently hosted by Steve Wallis and colleagues from the Great Britain Sporting Rifle Team, at the British Sporting Rifle Club facilities. The Artists Rifles Clubhouse provided a fascinating venue for lunch and tea. The Master, Diana Berry, concluded the day with prize giving, with Champagne going to:  Alice Gran Stimpson for top score on the Running Boar , Erskine Berry for the Mini-McQueen , Rupert Blackwell for the Swedish Deer , Michael McGowan the Stalkers’ Test and Patrick Turner for the Target Rifle. Richard Black’s team won overall for the highest number of points.
