Gunmakers v Bowyers 25 September 2020

Having been moved on from June due to the lockdown, the annual match finally took place between two of the Warrior Companies at a Shooting School in West London on 25 September. With all social distancing measures in place two teams of four each fought for honours with shotgun, rifle and of course longbow over sporting clays, a running boar and archery targets (only just static due to very high winds).

The Gunmakers were fortuitously ‘blown’ on target though Liveryman Alastair Irvine showed incredible grouping with a second end of 44! The Upper Warden took high score on the clays on 35/40 with Ben Glazier of the Bowyers leading the archery score with a 63. A rabbit flush to finish caused consternation to some, but seemed to be enjoyed by all, the Gunmakers Court team lead the field letting only two away.

Honours were regained this year with a full team score of 274 to 258.
