Riding for Charity

Liveryman Roland Elworthy is in training for this year’s Prudential RideLondon which is due to take place on Sunday 2nd August.  Some 3000 entrants will set off from the Olympic Park and ride the testing 100 mile circuit on closed roads up and over the Surrey Hills, finishing back in London on The Mall.

Roland is a keen cyclist but admits that he is apprehensive about the gruelling gradients he will have to negotiate when ascending Leith Hill and Box Hill. Having lost his mother and a close friend to cancer, he is hoping to raise at least £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.  He has set up a fundraising page at www.justgiving.com/Roland-Elworthy6 and would very much appreciate your help in meeting his target.
