Summer Banquet
The Company’s Summer Banquet was held in the splendid surroundings of Stationers’ Hall on 10 June. Liverymen and their guests were able to enjoy a champagne reception in the courtyard garden before dinner.
Musical entertainment was provided throughout the evening by the London Banqueting Ensemble who finished with a memorable rendition of the Post Horn Gallop.The principal guest was Dr Christine Rigden, Past Master of the Constructors’ Company who has since been elected Non-Aldermanic Sheriff for the year ensuing. She explained what had attracted her to stand for this ancient office, before proposing the toast to the Company. The Master, John Jackman, presided.
