The Charity Court, 6 February 2025

L to R:  A delight of new Gunmakers – David Hudd, Alexander Nicol, David Townsend, the Master, Beverly Hurley CBE, Gareth Rule and Nelson Neto Junior.

With frightening speed, the Master’s second Court flashed into view in the new year.  Yet another busy meeting as dictated by our busy Company schedule, but the necessary administration was followed by the equally exciting Admission of three new Freemen – John Coe, Patrick Peake and Mathew Thurley – and the Clothing of six new Liverymen as above.  In contrast to the speed that the Master’s year is passing, Gareth Rule took only 17 years and 8 months to tear himself away from the bench and ‘sprint’ from Freeman to Liveryman!  And this wasn’t mentioned at the post Court lunch at all. It was a great day with a warm welcome to our new Liverymen.
